WE WILL NOT ACCEPT LESS THAN THE FULL APPLICATION OF THE LAW

Gathered in assembly on 12 October 05, the workers of the General Consulate of Portugal in London chose an AD HOC Committee and decided to demand to the Ministério dos Negócios Estrangeiros (Ministry of the Foreign Affaires) and to the Portuguese State the application of the law, namely:

1. To begin the procedure of retention and delivery of the employer’s and workers’ obligatory contributions to the Social Security System.

2. To begin the procedure of retention and delivery of the workers’ Taxes (Income Tax).

3. To recognize the condition of Consular Worker of the Fixed Term Employees.

4. To determine equal salary to equal work, regardless of the fact that the worker is a fixed term employee or a permanent employee.

5. To open the access to the career to all positions occupied by false temporary workers.
